- 1). Click the "Reply" link in the upper-right corner of the post if you're replying to a reply that another user has reblogged. If you have followed the Tumblr for at least two weeks and the person enables replies to the reply post, you can reply directly within the post. Type your response up to 250 characters, and then click the "Reply" button in the lower left below the form. This reply appears on the user's dashboard.
- 2). Press the "Reply" link under the user's comment if you'd like to reply to a comment in your post or another person's posts. Some Tumblr blogs have enabled Disqus comments. This lets you post threaded comments to their posts. Type your comment in the form. Add an image, if you wish, by clicking the "Image" link in the lower left corner below the form. Click the "Post" button when you are ready to make your comment live.
- 3). Reblog the post, then add your reply in your new post. Click the "Reblog" button in the post to which you want to reply, then type your comments below the user's reply. Customize your post with formatting, images and other media as you would any other Tumblr post, then click the "Create Post" button in the lower left corner below the form. The user receives an email notification that you have reblogged the post, if the user's settings are set to receive reblog notices.
