Deccan Odyssey

The train is the result of the joint venture by Indian Railways and Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation. It mainly reflects the best of tourism assets of Maharashtra including world heritage sites of Ajanta & Ellora. It also takes you to Goa which is a well-established tourist destination.

Starting from Mumbai, the train covers destinations like Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Goa, Pune, Aurangabad, Ajanta and Nashik before reaching back to Mumbai.

It is an air-conditioned train which includes 21 saloons with a huge capacity for 104 passengers.

Accommodation

There are 13 luxurious coaches for passengers. Out of it, there are 11 commuter cars along with 4 double bedded chambers. All the 13 saloons have the good services like attached washrooms, shower, hot and cold water, total carpeting, intercom, DVD player and many more.

Dining Arrangement

When it comes to cuisine, the train has 2 well-maintained restaurants named as Peshwa I and Peshwa II. These restaurants offer you the exotic variety of dishes.

Bar

A well-kept bar car is also there to fulfill the drinking requirements of travellers. It offers you wine and whiskey of national and international brands.

Business Center

There is a separate coach with the capacity for around 30 people. You can organize business meetings here. It is operational with supercomputer, DVD players and television and internet facility.

Lounge

A lounge is there at the end of every coach for passengers where they can relax and enjoy watching TV.

This seven-day round trip begins on Wednesday from the happening city of Mumbai. The seasonal tours operate every year between the months of October to April.
