- Put together a bake sale.
Everyone loves homemade goodies to eat, so selling your baked goods won't be difficult! Ask for volunteers to make a wide array of baked goods and then make sure lots of people know about the event.
Hold it somewhere that is central, visible, and easy to find.
Hand out fliers letting people know about the bake sale and hang posters and signs on the street to make it easier for people to find and see.
These days, it would also be safe to have a couple of the baked goods be vegan to accommodate the few individuals who might have certain allergies or eating preferences. - Organize an auction.
Auctions can be a great way to utilize the talents, skills and professions of individuals in your group while also raising money for a great cause.
Gather together auction items - this could be a baked good, day on someone's boat, weekend at an individual's cabin, dinner for 2, a few hours of lawn care or babysitting, cleaning services, etc.
Be creative! Make sure you publicize the auction and provide appetizers and desserts so people enjoy their time eating, mingling and bidding on auction items. - Sell tickets to a dinner.
Organize a dinner and sell tickets ahead of time and at the door to raise money for your cause.
Decide what you'd like to serve - crab feed, spaghetti dinner, etc.
and publicize the event around your school, church, town, etc.
Sell the tickets at a price high enough to give you a good return on your investment and you'll be fund-raising in no time! - Organize a car wash.
Once warm weather rolls around, holding a car wash is the perfect way to raise money.
Have everyone in your group get together on a Saturday morning at a pre-approved, high-traffic location.
Make signs and posters to wave around as people drive by in order to get their attention and their donations.
Make it fun for everyone by having a good group of volunteers, music, and snacks. - Hold a bingo night.
Everyone loves a good game of bingo - plus it's an easy event to organize.
You can purchase bingo supplies online (you might read bingo reviews prior to purchasing from a specific supplier) and then hold the event at a city building, school or church.
Decide whether you want to charge an entrance fee or by game and then publicize the event to make sure people get excited about the bingo night and come!
