How to Make Your First Sale on the Internet: Buying and Selling Online

Having an online store is pretty much the same as having a brick and mortar store (actual physical store).
Only, your transaction is done online instead of the face-to-face transaction.
You do need to have an inventory or something to sell.
And just like in an actual store, you buy your products at a wholesale price and sell it at retail price for a profit.
But can you actually do both buying and selling online? The answer is a definite yes! If you are somebody whose walking or driving ability is limited and can only do transactions online (at home), or simply do not want to go out of your house other than to get your mail from the mailbox, buying and selling online might just be the thing for you.
How to get started.
Decide on what items you would like to sell.
Then search the internet for stores that sell at a wholesale or bulk price.
Close the deal by paying online and have the seller ship the items to your home.
Meanwhile, find an online selling site that will allow you to sell your products.
There are many to choose from so do not limit yourself to only a few choices.
You may also opt to have your own online store if you wish to and if you have the time and skills to do so.
Having your own online store lets you sell your items (as long as they are not illegal) on your own terms.
Setting up your online store.
Whether you decide to use an online selling site or have your own website, you will need to set up your listings.
Take good pictures of your items using a digital camera and upload it on your listing.
The next thing is to write a good product description to give the potential buyers an idea of what you are selling.
Use common language that is direct and clear to make sure even the person with the least technical knowledge will understand what you are saying.
Polishing it up.
Include details like the price, acceptable mode of payment, handling and shipping details, and instructions on how customers can order and pay online.
Also include your contact information so they can send you a message in case they have questions.
