- 1). Load Unity 3 and begin a new project by clicking "File" and selecting "New," or load an already existing one by clicking "Load."
- 2). Under the Projects tab, click "Create" and select "GameObject." Place the GameObject down somewhere on the map.
- 3). With the object selected, click on "Component" and select the "Physics" option. Click on "Character Controller."
- 4). Change the character's physical features, collision radius, animation features and movement speed.
- 5). Click on "Components" and select "Skinned Mesh Renderer." This opens the detail-rendering page where you can improve shadow quality, choose materials for the skin and add weight to the character model.
- 6). Save your work once complete.
