- 1). Look at photographs that remind you of the good times you had with your former friend. The more you feel the pain of your loss, the quicker you will be able to release it.
- 2). Write a letter to your friend. Say good-bye. Tell your friend how you feel about losing her. Don't send the letter. Make a ceremony out of disposing of it.
- 3). Punch a pillow, throw darts or go for a long run. Physical activity will help you discharge the anger you feel at your loss.
- 4). Don't gossip about your former friend behind his back, and don't insult him to his face. You may run into your friend, either in person or online. If you maintain a polite relationship, any contact you have will be easier.
- 5). Make a new friend. Your friend's absence from your life has left a gap. While no one can take your former friend's exact place, someone else can be just as good of a friend.
- 6). Keep busy. Enjoy your old hobbies or take classes and develop new interests. Pamper yourself. If you feel you were wronged in the breakup, remember that living well is the best revenge.
