It is never easy going through a break up with your ex, especially if you did not want the relationship to end or if things ended abruptly.
During a time like this things can get very hectic, you may panic and make some mistakes that could push your ex even further away and make it even harder to get them back.
In order to keep this from happening it is important that you start off by first taking a break from everything and getting your thoughts straightened out.
What you need to do is agree with the break up in the beginning and just end all of the tension between you and your ex...
Then you just need to keep to yourself and stay out of the way for a while...
You should not call or communicate with your ex at all in the beginning, you want them to see how it is without you in their life, you want your ex to start to miss you...
If you are calling them all of the time this will never happen so just steer clear of them and get your emotions in check.
While you are taking a break from your ex you should think about the real reason behind the break up.
There is usually one or more underlying factors that effect a relationship in a bad way...
It could have been because of lying, cheating, jealousy, being too controlling, arguing too much or any number of things.
It's your job to figure this out so that you can fix these issues; there's no point in trying to get back together until you've fixed all of the problems in the relationship, if not then you'll just end up in the same situation down the road...
