Looking for a pill that can make your extra weight disappear over night? Have you seen ads on television promising you that you can lose 5, 10, maybe 25 or more pounds by using their special supplement? Have you tried any of this wonder drugs and found out that they just don't work? There is plenty of information available to you if you would rather find a better option to shedding weight that get the job done without these "miracle" supplements.
Do Supplements Get the job done?
This is the key question in all of this. Does any weight loss supplement really work. Forget the hype and the sales pitch. Does any pill cause you to shed pounds? Also, do any of the supplements contain ingredients that can actually be threatening to your health? Is the risk of permanent damage worth the loss of a little weight that you end up gaining back when you stop taking the supplement? Look at the marketing and you will see that each supplement lists fine print telling you about risks and dangers. They almost all list the phrase "in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise program". If you need to change diet and exercise for the supplement to work, what is the supplement doing? It seems to me that it is the change in diet and exercise that is working for you, not the supplement.
This is their own marketing, the way they are trying to convince us to use their product. Should you want to lose weight and change your diet to lower body fat and healthy foods, why would you spend cash on a capsule and experience uncomfortable side effects? Use common sense, capsules are often not the answer since there's no pill replaces exercise and healthy dietary habits.
You will find some pills that previously worked because they elevated the rate of metabolic process and so burn fat, lose fluids and overheat the metabolism. A large number of these have already been taken off the market because they could be harmful and may even cause death. Almost every pill has a disclaimer about risk of liver damage.
Cardio and Core Exercises
In order to lose excess body fat you need to burn away calories. Sorry, no other way to it. Calories are burned though your metabolism. Sleeping in bed burns calories because you are still breathing and your heart is circulating blood. That does not mean you are burning a lot of calories, but you are burning them. In order to burn more calories, you need to increase your metabolic rate. Remember, pills may increase your metabolism but they do it in a high risk manner. You are much better off doing cardio (running and walking) and core (weight training) exercises. They improve your health and increase your metabolism naturally. Speak to your trainer for about a comprehensive cardio program that works based upon your current health and your age and current fitness level. The trainer will be able to adjust the program based upon your weight goals. You won't just shed pounds over night but you will be blown away by the elevated strength and endurance you'll obtain.
Skip the Sauna
Contrary to well-loved belief, you can't sweat your way to losing body fat fast. Yes, you sweat when you perform cardio and core exercises, but that is because you are increasing your metabolic rate, not because you are sitting in a hot room doing nothing but sweat. You'll be able to decrease bodyweight temporarily by eliminating extra fluids, but true dieting includes consuming healthy amounts of water. Too much sauna will lead to dehydration weight loss, which is extremely unhealthy.Water is crucial for general wellness including healthy skin, hair and nails. So, running off to the sauna should not be considered a treatment for sustained healthy body fat loss. A sauna can be part of a healthy fitness routine but should not be considered a weight loss regimen by itself.
For people that would like to lose a couple of pounds rapidly without pills there really are few healthy and viable options regardless of what the supplement industry would have you believe. Healthy, sustained excess body fat loss requires that you adopt a regimen that includes workouts and wholesome diet plans.
