- 1). Lay the three mirrors face down next to one another lengthwise. Keep them even with one another. Make sure there is a 1/4-inch space between the mirrors so that when the hinges are in place the mirrors will be able to fold. Slip a 1/4-inch-diameter dowel between the mirrors to keep them at the right spacing.
- 2). Measure down 6 inches from the top of each of the mirrors. Make a mark on the right side frame of the left mirror, both side frames of the middle mirror and the left side frame of the right mirror. This is where the top of the top hinges will be. Measure up 6 inches from the bottom and make a mark on the same side of each mirror as the previous mark. This will be the bottom of the the bottom hinge.
- 3). Set the two top hinges and two bottom hinges on the marks and use a pencil to mark the screw holes. The hinges will be used to connect the mirrors together.
- 4). Drill small pilot holes where you made the screw hole marks. Use a bit that is smaller in diameter than the screws that came with the hinges.
- 5). Put the hinges in place over the pilot holes and screw in the screws.
