- 1). Purchase a clasp to finish the string of beads. Clasps come in a variety of styles, including hook and eye, box, lobster and magnetic clasps. You can purchase clasps at craft or discount stores.
- 2). Use a thin needle and slip the string through the needle's eye.
- 3). Add a crimp bead at the end of the row of beads. Insert the needle and thread into the crimp bead and pass through the bead; the crimp bead is now the end bead.
- 4). Pass the string through the end of the clasp two times, then through the crimp bead. Pull snugly to secure. Pinch the crimp bead using needle nose pliers. Five inches of string will allow you to control and maneuver the string.
- 5). Push the needle and thread through the next two beads and secure with a knot between the double-threaded bead and the bead beside it.
- 6). Use clear nail polish or a drop of clear glue to cover and secure the knot. Cut the string close to the knot. Hide the end of the string inside the polish or glue.
