Instructions
1Clean off the lint screen and exhaust vent if either is clogged with lint. If not cleaned regularly, the dryer will not dry your laundry very well. The lint screen needs to be cleaned of lint after each load of laundry.
2
Look to see if you have blown a fuse or tripped a circuit breaker if the dryer is tumbling but there is no heat. Dryers use either two fuses or two breakers to function, which means one could be bad or tripped and the dryer will work but not heat. Fix by replacing the fuse or resetting the breaker.
3
Confirm that you have selected a drying cycle and not the "Air Dry" cycle, in which the dryer does not heat up. Also look in the dryer and remove all but one dryer sheet. Dryer sheets can block the grille in the dryer and cause heating problems. Use only one sheet per load.
4
Take some of the laundry out of the dryer if you have a large load. Large loads take longer to dry, which can make it seem as though the dryer is not heating properly.
5
Move the dryer to a room with a temperature greater than 45 degrees Fahrenheit. The dryer will not heat properly if it is in a room cooler than this temperature.
6
