- 2). Dry your hair with a towel to remove excess water. The hair should be damp but not soaked before adding a hair product.
- 3). Apply hair straightening cream from the roots of your hair to the tips. This product helps loosen the curls and reduce the frizz in your hair.
- 4). Use a hair dryer with a nozzle to rough dry the hair. Use your fingers rather than a brush to lightly loosen the curls. Focus primarily on the roots of the hair at this time.

- 6). Focus on one section at a time and blow dry the hair with a paddle brush until it is completely dry. Get the hair as straight and smooth as possible with the hair dryer and brush before using a flat iron. This makes the flat ironing process much easier.
- 7). Pull the hair straight and direct the nozzle down the section of hair. This not only straightens the hair but also brings out shine.
- 8). Turn on your flat iron to high heat.
- 9). Squeeze a few drops of hair smoothing serum into your hands.
