- 1). Review the control panel for error codes. Sundance programs its spas to report issues such as overheating, insufficient temperature or sensor problems that might make the unit inoperable. Follow the suggested guidelines in the owner's manual for correcting these problems.
- 2). Turn off power to the spa when the heater, blower or pump is not working. Wait 90 seconds before turning it back on. Allow the spa to cycle through its processes and then test the spa to see whether the problems persist.
- 3). Prime the pump. Remove the massage selector near the pump. Turn the massage selector cap counterclockwise allowing air to escape. Close the massage selector cap tight. Start the pump to see whether the jets begin to work.
- 4). Check the water level. Water below the skimmer can result in the hot tub not working properly. Add water to correct this problem. It should reach at least halfway up from the bottom of the skimmer.
- 5). Clean or replace the filter. Remove debris caught in the skimmer to improve water flow. An extremely dirty filter could require replacement to prevent water flow issues.
- 6). Change the settings on the spa's thermostat. If there are no error messages appearing on the control panel, increase or decrease the temperature to attempt to correct water temperature issues.
- 7). Increase the spa's filtration time. Cooler water may occur when the spa does not filter it on a continuous basis. Check to make sure that the spa is not set on an economy setting, which will mean cooler water.
- 8). Make a service call to a licensed Sundance spa repair person. Problems that persist and do not change after going through these steps might require professional assistance.
