- 1). Remove the four bolts that secure the plastic cover to the top of the engine using the ratchet set. The bolt size will vary, depending on the model year. Pull the cover off of the engine and set the bolt inside the cover. Set the cover aside.
- 2). Connect the locking pliers to the tension pulley next to the alternator towards the bottom of the engine. Tighten the pliers to the metal arm and pull the tension pulley towards the driver's side of the engine. Pull the drive belt off of the engine pulleys and release the tension pulley.
- 3). Place the new drive belt on the engine pulley at the bottom of the engine. Guide the drive belt up and around the other engine pulleys until you reach the tension pulley. Follow the yellow routing diagram on the radiator to position the new belt.
- 4). Pull the tension pulley towards the driver's side of the engine. Connect the belt to the roller on the bottom of the tension pulley. Remove the pliers from the tension pulley.
- 5). Replace the plastic cover on the top of the engine. Tighten the bolts using the ratchet set until the bolts are snug.
