- 1). Unplug the Admiral washing machine power cord from the wall outlet. Turn the two water spigot supply valves at the wall clockwise to shut off water to the washer.
- 2). Slide a putty knife under the right corner of the control console. Press the putty knife blade over the retaining clip, which is 4 inches from the outside edge of the washer under the console, while lifting up on the control console with your free hand. Repeat for the other end of the control console.
- 3). Rotate the control console toward the rear of the Admiral washing machine. Find the water level pressure switch on the inside back of the console. The water level switch is the round switch with a rubber tube connecting to the side.
- 4). Pull the rubber tube away from the switch with your fingers. Pull the wire connector away from the switch with your fingers. Turn the switch 1/2 a turn counterclockwise to release it from the back of the control console. Pull the switch away from the unit.
- 5). Line up the tabs on the new water level pressure switch with the slots on the back of the control console. Insert the switch into the slots, then rotate the switch clockwise until it locks into place. Push the wire connector onto the switch and slide the rubber tube over the nipple on the switch.
- 6). Rotate the control console forward and push down on the top of the console to engage the clips. Turn on the water supply to the Admiral washing machine and plug the power cord into the outlet.
