Chlorine and bromine are the most popular options used to maintain proper pH levels. When pH levels are not balanced the hot tub could become damaged or skin discomfort may occur. These levels can be easily checked using test strips. Chlorine or bromine tablets can be placed in the water of the hot tub to bring pH levels to the proper balance.
