Understanding Male Yeast Infections

The male yeast infection is a disease that is not only over looked but also very misunderstood in today's world.
It is not uncommon for a man to get a yeast infection but many men will never even know they are carrying a fungal infection or Candida.
For women it is much easier to detect a yeast infection because they will have a vaginal infection that will be a clear clue that something is wrong.
For men they really have no idea that they might even have a yeast infection until other health problems arise that will indicate that a yeast infection might be present.
There are some common issues and symptoms that a man will experience that will indicate that he has a yeast infection.
These are not the only possible symptoms so if you feel you have a symptom that is not mentioned, please see your doctor for a diagnosis.
The number one symptom for both boys and men when they have a male yeast infection is problems with their digestive system.
They could have frequent stomachaches and a sour stomach often.
Another common sign of a yeast infection is itching in the genital area.
It will appear to be jock itch with dry, flaky skin.
This will be very bothersome and irritating.
A man who has a male yeast infection might also experience loose or runny stool that leads to frequent diarrhea, bad breath that he cannot get rid of, bloating, heartburn, and indigestion.
He might also experience a low energy level, fatigue, mood swings, and memory loss.
A male yeast infection can also lead to prostate problems if it goes untreated.
Another common symptom is a change in a man's daily diet.
He might start to have a strong craving for salty things such as chips, dishes that contain pasta or chocolate or sweet items.
These cravings come from the fact that the parasite that is the male yeast infection needs to have substance to live off of and these items are what will cause the parasite to grow and multiply.
If you suspect you have an infection or if your sexual partner has informed you that she has developed an infection cease all sexual activity.
The worst thing to do is spread it back and forth between each other.
Seek medical attention to get treatment for yourself and your partner.
