How to Change a Scroll Saw Blade

  Release the blade tension by turning the knob.

  Loosen the top blade clamp and slide out the blade.

  Loosen the screw on the bottom blade clamp and remove the blade.
  
  
• 4). Insert the new blade in the bottom clamp first. Ensure it is fully seated and tighten the clamp screw.

  Insert the blade in to the top clamp, being sure all tension is released. Keep pressure on the tension adjuster with a finger while aligning the blade in the clamp. Tighten the screw to close the clamp on the blade.

  Adjust the blade tension by turning the knob on the adjuster.

  Check the tension on the blade by pushing on the blade. When properly adjusted, the blade will deflect only slightly.
