The candybar shaped Nokia 6300i has a 2 inch screen and measures 106.4mm x 43.6mm x 11.7mm. These are decent dimensions to carry and it also weighs a good light 93 grams as well. There is nothing specifically design-wise that stands out about the 6300i, but it does have a classic stylish look about it.
Just beneath the screen is the navigational pad, which is square in shape and a decent size. Alongside it are various call-related buttons. Then you get to the keypad, which has square shaped keys with a low profile, that look simple but solid. You can only pick up the Nokia 6300i in Black.
There is a 2 mega pixel camera with 8 times digital zoom and a few photo editing tools. The pictures are of a reasonable quality, but not of the highest.
A music player is included and it will support most of the popular music formats. There is also an FM Radio. Internal memory is 30 mega bytes, but it is possible to add a MicroSD card, which will increase this further.
Application-wise, expect the Nokia 6300i to have the basics like calendar, alarm clock, and personal organiser. The reason you would get the 6300i Nokia is for the internet connection. You can tell Nokia designed it with this in mind due to the i in the name, which we assume is short for internet. Connectivity is great with WLAN wifi, EDGE and HSCSD, but there is no 3G, which is a little disappointing. If they would have included this then the internet would have been perfect. You can also connect to third party devices using Bluetooth.
Although the Nokia 6300i looks pretty simple, it is this simplicity that makes it great. It doesnt have a fancy camera or music player, but it performs its basic functions very well and has good internet connections with VOIP calls enabled.
