- 1). Replace the solid cart access door with a ventilated version. These forgo the solid metal latching door in favor of a metal-framed door with a fine-mesh screen, allowing heat to escape. Security is still available via a round locking key.
- 2). Access the back of the cart. Look for a perforated square knockout panel. Punch around the perforations with the hammer and flat head screwdriver. Slide the cooling fan into the insert, securing it with the included screws. Plug the fan into the power strip installed in the cart.
- 3). Install a slide rack cooler. These occupy one or two rack spaces in the cart, circulating air inside the cabinet. Used in conjunction with the rear-mounted fan, heat never has a chance to build up inside the cart prior to it being ventilated safely out of the rack.
