We often read that science is trying to prove or disprove the existence of God. 

When we are true believers and practicing participants in a religion of our choice, we know without saying it that no proof is needed and that God does exist and He is always here to help us.

The one main thing that helps a family survive in difficult times is attending church and bringing up our children in a strong faith.

We must not just 'send' a child to church, taken by friends, relatives, or neighbors, but have it on our weekly 'must do' list to save Sunday for attending church all together. At the same time, we must avoid planning parties and get-togethers, or accepting inviations of others, to attend functions at the times that we, as families, should be at church.

It is so common now to be invited to parks and places of celebration in the time slots that need to be reserved for church. We can easily say we will attend and think that it is okay to alter our plans one week and that we will get back on schedule the next week.

When we do this, we weaken what we stand for as a family. We have allowed others to dictate what is important to us, and we ultimately weaken our family's structure and what we stand for.

Ever so subtly, we are in silence saying that we approve diverging from our beliefs when we allow this alteration of plans, and to our children we are giving them examples that our plans of church attendance are not as important as having fun with others.

Faith increases with attendance and being around others of like interests and knowledge.

If we look back at family situations where God's help has been greatly needed to solve these times, it is easily seen that prayer has gotten us all through.

Around the corner from our current problems, is the knowledge that everything is solved and comes back to normal, for the time being, when church, God, prayer, and family togetherness are all combined.

Let us all set good standards and worship together, and attend church each week.  At the same time, let us attend church functions on other days and be supportive of plans of the church.

Becoming full-fledged members, baptizing babies, becoming helpers and leaders, and being active prayer warriors for others, all the time wanting to help straighten out problems of our families, friends, communities and the world, can give us the joy and confidence we need to continue on the right paths.

God is good and He proves it every minute of each day.

Joy comes from knowing by faith in the unseen and we do not need scientific proof!
