In the 1920s, motorcycle racing was becoming popular. Success on the race track (broad walks and dirt), helped street bike sales. Harley Davidson produced the Peashooter in two versions, the 'S' version being the racing, or sporting, version. The 21 cubic inch engine propelled the little machine (it weighed 98kgs - 216 lbs) to a reported top speed of over 100 mph!
