The Samsung S5620 Monte - An Overview

Samsung seem to excel when it comes to producing phones in the lower to mid range of the mobile market.
They continue that trend with the introduction of the Samsung Monte, a handset that should not only prove to be a real winner amongst its counterparts, but should also tread on the toes on a few of the smartphones available.
It is not only the sleek and stylish looks on the Samsung Monte that will win it fans.
In terms of the ease of use the phone is a joy to use.
This is thanks in part to the TouchWiz user interface.
Although Samsungs latest offering, Bada, is nearly upon us, TouchWiz remains a proven and excellent system.
Version 2.
0 is incorporated on the Monte, and users of previous versions will feel familiar with the 3 homescreens layout.
It is easy to navigate between these Homescreens by simply swiping left or right with your finger.
Widgets is the focus of the main screen, allowing the user to customise this and place them wherever on this page they would like.
A multitasking facility is also included, meaning the user can perform more than one operation at once, and a simple task manager allows you to keep track on what functions are being carried out.
Another feature which has proved poplar on previous models is the "Smart Unlock".
This allows for the handset to be unlocked, or even an app launched or contact dialled directly from the locked screen simply by drawing a pre determined letter on the screen, a useful feature which I'm surprised other manufacturers haven't cottoned on to yet.
The Samsung Monte is fully connected with regards to online material.
You can keep up to date whilst on the go thanks to 3G and EDGE connectivity, and the inclusion of WiFi means browsing the web is even easier when in range of your own WiFi network or any public one that is available.
Hand in hand with web connectivity goes social networking, and the Monte will appeal to a legion of younger phone customers thanks to its pre installed widgets for Facebook and Twitter.
There is even an app available to facilitate the easy uploading of material to such sites, right down to the resizing of pictures.
The web browser pre installed is an impressive affair, allowing one finger zooming and flash support.
Bluetooth and Micro USB allows for easy transfer of data between similar devices or home computer equipment.
The Samsung Monte is set to be a really popular phone for the Summer of 2010.
Its eye catching look and great connectivity are the real plus points, and the price will appeal to nearly everybody.
