How to Take Off a Kitchen Faucet Head

    • 1). Turn off the incoming water supply, usually located beneath your sink. You can identify it by the pipe protruding up from the floor with a knob attached to it. Twist this valve completely clockwise to close it. Turn on the faucet to drain excess water from the water line.

    • 2). Unscrew the 1-inch brass ring nut that connects the faucet head's water line to the incoming water pipe.

    • 3). Loosen the faucet head by gently pushing it up through the top of the counter.

    • 4). Thread the faucet head and water line up through the hole in the faucet plate.
