Everyone hates shaving bumps. If you want to get rid of bumps, then you need real answers. Shaving cannot be avoided, especially if you grow a lot of facial hair or body hair. Both men and women are susceptible to razor bumps and razor rashes because hair can get trapped or folded into larger pores as you shave. But, as a woman, having facial hair bumps or ingrown hairs is a little more embarrassing. Your skin can even darken and become thinner.
If you have tried everything and have bump sensitive skin then, follow the tips below to fight razor rash or bumps on your face.
Step # 1: How to Get Rid of Bumps in the Skin Folds The hardest facial bumps to eliminate are often the hair bumps on the inside of skin folds. If you have hair bumps in the folds of your skin, especially the neck or chin area then it can take longer to get rid of those bumps. They can also occur more easily because the folds of the skin can become a breeding ground for bacteria.
The good news is that those hair bumps are hidden, so you can easily hide them. The bad news is that lack of oxygen to the area can reduce healing time.
Eliminate facial hair bumps that come under the chin or in the skin folds by using a quality shaving or emollient cream when shaving facial hair. Try products like Wanji, Bump Mud or Veet. Wanji is particularly effective because it actually reduces facial hair and fights hair bumps.
Exercise is also essential to getting rid of excess skin and fat that folds over, reducing healing of the bumps. If you simply join a gym and exercise three times per week for 30 to 40 minutes you will burn this extra fat. You can also do a simple face exercise of tilting your head for thirty repetitions.
The fat will come off everywhere, but especially in your face area. This will allow your skin to breathe and create better cleansing capabilities of this area. Plus, facial hairs are 85% less likely to become trapped or infected when they are not located in skin folds.
Step # 2: How to Get Rid of Razor Bumps on the Legs
This one is much simpler. Cleanse thoroughly and exfoliate prior to shaving. If done continually, you will experience very few, if any, trapped hairs and bumps on your legs.
Do not shave your legs dry. Many women simply wet the razor, apply the cream, and there are off to the races. As a result, the skin erupts with bumps, cuts and bruises. To avoid this, soak in a warm bath of Epson Salt prior to shaving. While in the bath, use a natural exfoliator to loosen the hair follicle. Try Wanji or Zap Erase. This will allow your skin to become supple and you hairs to absorb water. You hair will soften and become less rigid. Then, follow with a rich shaving cream with natural emollients, such as Wanji.
After this, apply Aloe Vera Juice and gently wipe it over the entire leg area. Aloe vera is a miracle cure for keeping younger looking skin and fighting bumps. Aloe Vera can heal abrasions, colds, herpes simplex, staph infections, acne, colic, and ulcerations. You can find it at Whole Foods or Trader Joes.
Step # 3: How to Get Rid of Razor Bumps on Your Face
If you have razor bumps on your lips or if you have shaving bumps along your chin area, cosmetics is not sufficient to conceal or heal them. To get rid of hair bumps along the lip, neck or chin area, try this simple home remedy.
Create a mixture of apple cider vinegar, rice vinegar, aloe vera and coconut butter. Take four tablespoons of coconut butter and mix in one teaspoon of vinegar and aloe vera juice. Apply the mixture directly to your razor bumps. Let the mixture stay on your face for 10 to 20 minutes and then rinse. Repeat this process for one week everyday. This hair bump treatment will lighten skin and eliminate shaving bumps. If you find you need faster results, product specifically made for razor bumps like Bump Mud are also effective.
