This is Fitty, as in Fitty Fat. She is my first cat, and came to me as a stray a little over a year ago. I found her in my backyard one day, and she looked thin. She was sitting on the cover of my hot tub. I cautiously approached her and knelt down and gently talked to her and she eventually came up to me. She was very friendly. I felt that she was thin and went into my house to get some food. Well, lucky for her, I'm a vegetarian and someone had given me some smoked salmon as part of a housewarming gift.
I gave Fitty some of the salmon and she gobbled it up like she hadn't eaten in days. I elected to keep her, despite the fact that I had two lovebirds.
She has been so entertaining! I consider myself a "dog person" because that's all I've ever had (and birds), but once Fitty came into my life she changed that. She will run around the house like a mad cat at times, and others she will just sit in my lap and purr and will let me pet her endlessly. She loves to play with her feather toy, and actually it is the ONLY toy she will play with. She scoffs at anything else I try to give her, except for the catnip pouches. After a few rounds with a catnip pouch she's darting around the house again.
When I have guests over, she'll sneak up to the edge of the room and as she begins to walk through she tears off running right through the middle of the room. I know she wants to be seen, but she's not super friendly with other people yet. She's nutty, but that's what makes her so much fun.
She has many nicknames in my house...Fierceimus, Fattimus, Fittius, Fittimus Fats, Fittles, Fitty Cent, and anything else I can think of.
She's pretty mellow much of the time, but once that tortitude comes out, you better watch it! She rules the house and she knows it! And, I am so glad she found me.
