Cat Picture of the Week: Gonny and Smokey

Gonny and his brother Smokey are blue domestic shorthair cats that I adopted in October 2004 weighing 5 lbs at 5 months old. They are now about 2 1/2 years old and weigh about 12 and 16 lbs. respectively.

Gonny is a talker. He meows for food, for play, for fresh water and for play. If he could just retrieve the mice and rattle balls I threw him we wouldn't need so many toys. Smokey is my big boy! Not fat but big all over.

He's also a cuddle bum. He lies in my arms every night wanting his belly rubbed. In the middle of the night he lays on my stomach for his late night petting session. He awakens me by his thunderous purring to ensure that I know he is there.

Those who meet Smokey and Gonny are not disappointed. They both have great personalities and are ready for action at anytime. Not only do they love to cuddle, but also they love to play and eat constantly. They don't even mind the occasional photo opportunity.

Gonny and Smokey are both handsome fellows, and appear to be great little pals. Their photo was also featured in the 2009 Blue Cats Picture Gallery.
My Cat Pictures of the Week are all selected personally from photos submitted for any other gallery on this site. All photos must meet the requirements outlined in the Photo Submittal Guidelines.
