Being in business is quite exciting, especially when you make costly mistakes.
If you want to increase your chances of actually going out of business, keep reading.
Sometimes it is the small things that lead to huge loss in productivity and keeping you distracted, not to mention, broke.
Making the right choices increase your chances to survive in business, yet making bad decisions can potentially keep you from making unwise choices later.
If you build up enough of an inventory of unwise business decisions, you may not have the opportunity to learn from your errors later on.
Who said it is wrong to learn from your mistakes? Here are some good tips to help you place yourself way below your competition.
You will not have any money at the end of the day, but just think of the stories you can tell your grandchildren.
As a business owner, you will have many opportunities to make bad decisions.
The more mistakes you can make now, the better.
In fact, it is a proven fact those who make a lot of mistakes will have less opportunity making mistakes in the future.
In order to help you make tactical errors to shrink your business, I offer you some unsound advice on making great mistakes.
This service is totally free of charge and interest-free, and is worth every penny.
I want you to make costly errors in the long run, and this series will make this happen.
I will be touching such topics as how to waste time yet save money by finding the best free applications for your new iPhone, Blackberry, Android, or whatever type of phone you carry.
While you could spend $1.
99 on an adequate application, it is so much better to waste, uh, I mean spend your time finding a free application that will do as much as the application that costs you the dollar ninety-nine.
As a bonus, I will give a list of some great games you can play on your phone and computer.
Later on, I will give tips on the value of reviewing your e-mail every five minutes, as well as saving money on texting.
My philosophy is the more mistakes you make up front, the less mistakes you will make later on.
With the preliminaries out of the way, and in the spirit of hindering my fellow business owners, I present to you my first tip for destroying your business.
I highly recommend you design your own website, especially if you have never done this before.
You could use one of those do-it-yourself websites where you can also buy all your printing needs -- you know, one-stop shopping.
You can even save yourself a bit of money by getting free business cards! You will just love spending many hours looking for the right template for your webpage.
When you get stuck, you can have your computer geek friend promise you he will be over to help.
While you are waiting for the geek to arrive, why not take a stab at designing your own logo using one of those do-it-yourself logo design services.
You can even get some more free business cards you probably will not use anyway.
You may not need the free business cards anyway if you keep on making costly mistakes.
In the long run, after you spent weeks trying to get that first page on your site to look just right, you find the paragraphs do not quite line up with each other.
Please do not fret over this, you can find another template.
There are hundreds of sites that offer free templates, but you will have to ditch that site where you got your free business cards.
Actually, there are many other hosting sites where you can put your site, as long as you use one of their templates.
You will have to just take time to look for these other sites.
Each one has some benefits other sites do not have.
The longer you spend looking for these free sites, the more you will learn.
After weeks spent "designing" your website, you end up with what looks like a home-made web page.
Impressive! Your home-made website will not actually impress anybody, but at least it was free.
It did not cost you any money to design, only time.
Of course, you will not get those weeks back, but at least you did not spend money on web design.
Think of all the money you saved.
You still have not yet figured out how you are going to get people to come to your website, much less figure out how you want those to respond if they do find your page.
But hey, it did not cost you anything to design that page.
Even though it is free, you get what you paid for - a home-grown looking logo and a lopsided website, not to mention the free business cards from two different companies.
One of the sets of cards has that do-it-yourself logo, but at any rate they were free, plus shipping and handling, of course.
If people want to know where you got your free cards, you can immediately tell them, as all the information is right there, on the back of your free business card.
Sweet! One closing point I wanted to mention.
When you see the other person's eyebrow rise when they see the back of your business card, do not fret.
Just tell them you got your cards for free.
