How to Reverse the Side Effects of Accutane

    • 1). Prepare and drink edible clay daily. The clay should not be from a volcanic source or heated in any way during processing. The best-known example of non-volcanic clay that hasn't been heated, according to Dr. Aajonus Vondeprlanitz -- the author of "We Want To Live: The Primal Diet" -- is TerraMin clay. TerraMin clay is a bentonite clay mined in California that never reaches above 99 degrees F. Prepare the clay by mixing 1 to 2 tsp. of dried clay with 6 to 8 ounces of water in a glass and allow it to sit covered in a dark cupboard for five days before drinking it. Drink it in small amounts throughout the day.

    • 2). Consume foods that are already in liquid form and are easier to digest. The two easiest foods for someone with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis to digest are raw eggs and fresh vegetable juice. Juice organic vegetables, including carrots, celery, parsley and cilantro, and store the juice in your fridge for up to three days. Buy organic eggs from a farm or farmer's market.

    • 3). Learn to deal with flareups without going to the hospital. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. You may also find young green coconut water helpful. Get plenty of bedrest during flareups as well. If you have bloody diarrhea, Dr. Vonderplanitz recommends consuming fresh cabbage juice, which he has found to stop bleeding in the majority of his Crohn's patients, mainly due to the vitamin K content of cabbage.

    • 4). Consume foods that will help regenerate the body, especially the intestines. Two foods known to increase cellular reproduction are fresh aloe vera gel off the leaf and fresh young coconut water. Unheated honey, fresh raw papaya and pineapple are also helpful, especially when consumed with fresh coconut meat or raw eggs. The fruits help support intestinal flora. Fermented raw milk can repopulate the intestinal flora.
