How to Remove Scratches From Luggage

    • 1). Wash the scratched surface with mild soap and warm water to remove stains and dirt.

    • 2). Wet a soft cloth and scrub the marks. Apply a small amount of pressure to remove any deep stains. The scratch can appear more prominent when topped off with stains and paint coatings from the material that made the scratch. Wipe and dry off.

    • 3). Use a pencil eraser to gently rub the scratches. Avoid rubbing too much, this can cause the hard-shell coating to fade. The eraser can further remove small and shallow scratches, allowing it to blend more with the original luggage shell coating.

    • 4). Remove all off the eraser shavings and wipe again with the wet cloth. Dry off the luggage surface. Most of the smaller and shallow scratches should be improved or completely removed. The deeper scratches should be less visible.

    • 5). Apply a silicone-based automobile or furniture polish to preserve the shine of your luggage and to add more abrasion-resistance to the surface.
