Far Infrared (FIR) Electric Heaters

Did you know that the fastest, healthiest and most energy efficient way to keep warm in winter months is with a far infrared (FIR) electric heater?Even though the current market is dominated by more conventional heating methods the future of home heating is pointing clearly in the direction of FIR.
A conventional electric heater works by heating the air in a room.
The warm air touches our skin and we feel warm.
Most of the sensation of warmth that we get is from surface skin temperature.
This surface warmth then penetrates into our bodies.
Eventually we are warmed through and through.
But we are last in the chain to be heated by a conventional electric heater.
First the air is heated, then our skin, then our insides.
This can take some time.
The room air temperature doesn't mean very much if we are still chilled to the bone.
We may be shivering from the cold for quite a while before the warmth penetrates to our cores.
Another problem with a conventional electric heater is the heated air rises to the top of the room.
Pretty much the only way to get it down and back to heating us again is by using a fan to circulate the air.
Despite the popularity of this type of electric heater in homes around the world, it is very inefficient and expensive to operate.
An infrared electric heater operates on a very different and superior principle.
The infrared energy emitted by these heaters penetrates directly into us and heats our insides directly.
This is especially true of an infrared electric heater that operates on the far end of the IR band (5.
6 to 1000 microns).
This far infrared (FIR) energy can directly penetrate up to 2 inches below the surface of our skins.
FIR energy causes water and organic material to vibrate and thereby causes heat.
Since the majority of the human body is made up of water, a FIR electric heater heats us directly and does not waste energy heating the air.
Eventually the air is heated too, by radiant heat from us, but it is last in the chain to get the heat.
A FIR electric heater is much more energy efficient compared to conventional heaters.
It gets us warmer faster.
Plus testing has shown that rooms heated with FIR have an even heat throughout the room.
There is no need for a fan to move the air around.
The most famous IR heater of all is, of course, the sun.
Have you ever stood in the sun on a cold winter day and felt warm, then walked just a few feet away into the shade and you felt cold? This is a perfect example of IR energy at work keeping us warm.
The air temperature was exactly the same in both the sun and the shade.
But you felt warmer in the sun because the IR rays were penetrating directly into you and warming you up.
If you do purchase a FIR electric heater, don't be afraid that you are bombarding yourself with harmful radiation.
IR energy is good for you.
It is the UV rays from the sun, which are at the other end of the spectrum, that are bad for you.
