How to Disassemble a Grohe Kitchen Sink Faucet

    • 1). Turn the water off by shutting the pipe valves under the faucet.

    • 2). Take out the rubber plug on the handle lever and unscrew the screw inside the handle with an Allen wrench, a hexagonal shaped key that fits Allen head screws. Pull the handle off the faucet, and unscrew the round cover under the handle by hand. Remove the cover once it is unscrewed.

    • 3). Take the handle adapter off by unscrewing the adapter screw with a screwdriver and pulling the part off. Unscrew the cartridge screws, which are located on top of the faucet's cartridge, which is the faucet's valve. This cartridge is beneath the adapter.

    • 4). Take off the round collar under the screws and pull the cartridge right out of the faucet.

    • 5). Unscrew the lock nut under the base of the faucet with a wrench and take the faucet off the sink. Detach the sprayer head from the sprayer hose by turning the connector counterclockwise. Slide the sprayer and the sprayer hose out of the faucet.

    • 6). Disconnect the spout from the faucet base by turning and unsnapping the spout. If there is a screw in the back of the spout, unscrew it with the Allen wrench and pull the spout out of the faucet base.
