Floor Tool Care: oUse disposable cloths with this tool.
oUse a damp cloth to dust the foot frame.
oWash the tool once a week with detergent and water.
Rinse and dry it well.
oHang the tool when it is not in use.
Cloth Work Glove Care: oShake gloves free of dirt and dust after each day's use.
oAvid the tearing of gloves on sharp objects, nails, etc.
oStore gloves in a clean, dry place.
Rubber Glove Care: oWash rubber gloves with the recommended detergent solution.
Wipe them dry.
oTurn the gloves inside out for drying.
oReturn damaged gloves to supervisor for replacement.
oStore gloves on a flat, clean, dry surface.
oAvoid tearing your gloves on sharp objects or nails.
Care of Hose with Cut-Off Nozzle: oRinse off rubber or plastic hose.
oRoll it in a 3-foot circle to prevent its kinking.
oDrain the water from the hose while rolling it.
oHang the hose on a hanger in the storage closet.
Care of Putty Knife or Scraping Knife: oWipe the knife to remove moisture and debris after each day's use.
oStore it in a clean, dry place.
oUse it only for the purpose specified.
Safety Ladder Care: oAfter each use, wipe the ladder with a detergent solution.
oRinse and dry it thoroughly.
oStore it in a designated area so as not to obstruct traffic.
oReport all defects to your supervisor.
Measuring Cup Care: oRinse the cup free of detergent immediately after use.
Use water only.
oStore the cup so that it will not be damaged.
Rubber Pad Holder Care: oWash the holder with a detergent solution.
oWipe it dry and store it in the designated area.
Care of Ropes: oAvoid getting ropes wet while they are in use.
oCoil a rope to avoid its twisting.
oStore the rope on a hanger in the closet.
Screen Sifter Care: oWash the sifter and shake it dry.
oHandle it so as not to bend the screen.
oStore it on a hanger in the closet.
Nylon Scouring Pad Care: oWash the pad in clean water; rinse it and squeeze out the excess water.
oStore in a dry place.
Sponge Care: oRinse sponges thoroughly in clean, tepid water.
oPrepare a mild neutral soap solution or a detergent/disinfectant solution.
oPlace the sponges in the solution.
oWash them by squeezing them by hand.
oRinse the sponges in tepid water until the water is clear.
oSqueeze out the excess water.
oDry sponges in a suspended wire basket.
Do not hang them on hooks or nails.
oStore them in a clean, dry place.
oSponges should be autoclaved periodically for complete sterilization.
