- 1). Wash and dry the T-shirt.
- 2). Cut the hem off the T-shirt. Make another ¼ -inch narrow rolled hem by hand or sewing machine.
- 3). Use the embroidery needle and one strand of the bedspread cotton to make evenly spaced buttonhole stitches all the way around the circumference of the hem.
- 1). Make one single crochet stitch in the center of a buttonhole stitch, beginning at one side of the shirt. Chain two, and single crochet in the next buttonhole stitch. Repeat all the way around the shirt. Join to the first single crochet with a slip stitch.
- 2). Chain three, and make three double crochet stitches in the first chain two loop. Make four double crochet stitches in the next loop, and in each loop all the way around. Join to the first stitch.
- 3). Chain three, and make one double crochet in the same stitch; make two double crochets in each double crochet all the way around.
- 4). Chain two, and skip two stitches and single crochet in the third stitch. Repeat all the way around.
- 5). Keeping the loops made in the previous round in the back of the work, make two double crochet stitches in each double crochet that you skipped in the previous round, all the way around. Join at the top of the first double crochet stitch.
- 6). Keeping the stitches of the previous round in front of the work, chain two and single crochet into the first loop of the previous round. Chain three, and three double crochet stitches in the first loop. Make four double crochet stitches in each loop all the way around. Join at the top of the chain three.
Repeat steps 4 through 6 until the skirt is the length you wish. - 7). Double crochet into the third stitch from the hook. Chain one, and double crochet into the same stitch three more times. Skip two stitches and make a single crochet in the third stitch. Repeat this step all the way around the skirt. End off.
