How to Make Sweet Sixteen Invitations

    • 1). Measure, cut and fold a piece of cardstock in half to fit in the envelopes you've purchased for the invitations. Use your favorite color or one that matches the decorations that you've chosen for your party.

    • 2). Gather an assortment of photos, one from each of your 15 previous birthdays. Create a collage with the images on an 8.5 by 11-inch piece of cardstock. Take the artwork to a copy center and make reduced color copies to fit on the front of your invitations.

    • 3). Affix the collages to the front of the cards. If the image is a little shorter than the base you trimmed, use the extra space to write or stamp a "Celebrate," "You're Invited" or "Sweet Sixteen" message across the bottom.

    • 4). Make copies of your most-recent picture to affix to the left-hand side of the inside of the card. Add sticker numbers that form "16" to the bottom-left corner.

    • 5). Use a stamp to create a grid to house the information about the party. You can also print the time, date, location and contact phone number on the computer to output on cardstock that coordinates with the card. (See Resources)

    • 6). Stuff the invitations into their envelopes and add another personal touch by having custom stamps printed with a current photo of you or one of your adorable baby pictures.
