You have had you bike for years and its beginning to feel as though it is losing some of the power it once had. Well, with V-twin exhausts, you can have your bike running as smoothly as it was before, but what exactly are v-twin exhausts?

V-twin exhausts are two-cylinder engines that can be used on any bike. They are usually placed on opposite angles from the center rotation of the crankshaft. They lead to the motorcycle having enhanced performance while you ride it and also make it aesthetically appealing. So, if you want to increase the power of your bike, installing some v-twin exhausts is the only way.

After you have bought the exhausts, what next? Correctly installing the exhausts follows.

There are ten quick and easy steps to do this.

1. Before tampering with your bikes exhaust system, check how it was installed. Different bikes have been made differently according to the brand so be sure to know your bikes brand make up i.e. look at the bikes manual.

2.Remove any heat shields that are around the exhausts pipes.

3.Unscrew the two nuts attaching each exhaust pipe to the cylinder head using a socket wrench and socket extension.

4.Remove the nut and bolt that attaches the exhaust to the support bracket. Now take the exhaust pipe and slowly slide it off the mounting bolts and take the pipes off the motorcycle.

5.Remove the crash gaskets from each of the exhaust ports. Clean the area with a rag so as for the bike to look good once the new pipes have been installed.

6.Install a new cylinder head gasket in each exhaust port. Make sure all the nuts and bolts are screwed on securely. You can use a wrench to ensure this.

7.Set the new pipes in place. On the rear mounting bolts and the mounting nuts make sure to hold the back end of the exhaust properly but do not tighten.

8.Check the alignment of the muffler and exhaust pipes. The exhaust should not touch the bike apart from the cylinder head and the support brackets.

9.After making sure it has been aligned properly, you may now tighten the bolts.

10.If there are any heat shields to be re-installed you may also put them at this point.

Having installed your new v-twin exhausts you can now turn on your bike and listen to the new sound produced from the exhausts. They should produce a humming sound so good it will make you want to cry. Then as you ride it the increase in power of your motorcycle will remind you why you fell in love with the bike in the first place.
The V-Twin exhausts should also increase the performance of the bike which will make it easier to ride.
