- 1). Pull back your truck's bed liner around the corner of the taillight assembly.
- 2). Remove the two mounting screws within the hole in the truck's bed siding using a Phillips screwdriver. These are what secure the taillight assembly to the truck.
- 3). Use a flat-head screwdriver to gently pry under the taillight assembly's rubber seal and pull the assembly loose. Be very careful not to scratch your truck's paint or tear the seal.
- 4). Unplug the old taillight by pressing the plastic plug clamps on both sides and pulling the plugs apart. Remember that as plastic becomes older, it becomes more and more brittle, so be as careful as possible.
- 5). Realign your truck's bed liner if necessary.
