Here are some simple steps to lose weight after having your baby.

Realistic Expectations: This is where most people fail.
If you're serious about losing that baby weight you need to be realistic AND patient.
It takes 9 long months to gain that weight.
You aren't going to lose it in 2 months.
It takes longer to lose weight than to gain it.
Set a goal of 10-20 pounds per month depending on your current health and weight.

Breastfeeding: This will cause you to burn a lot of calories.
Weight loss will be a major advantage of breastfeeding.
Do not reduce your food intake too much while breastfeeding.
Since your body is burning all those extra calories you still need to replenish some of them.

Smaller & More Frequent Eating: This may sound counter intuitive but split your 3 meals into 5-6 smaller meals.
This will not only help keep you from getting hungry but increase your body's fat burning.

Healthy Foods: Included in these foods should be things like whole grains, fruits, veggies, nuts, legumes, fish and a multi vitamin.
Also be sure to increase your water consumption.
Aim for about half your body weight in ounces.

Exercise: There were probably a lot of activities you couldn't do while you were pregnant.
Try not to exercise just for the sake of exercising if you don't have to.
That gets boring for most people and they quit.
