How to Clean Leaves From a Hot Tub

    • 1). Scoop out the leaves floating on top of the water with a spa leaf net.

    • 2). Suction the leaves from the bottom of the hot tub with a spa vacuum. These units hook up to a garden hose, using water pressure to suction up dirt and debris, or they operate on batteries or use a non-electric pump to suction.

    • 3). Remove the filter and clean the leaves from inside the filter and around the filter holder. Soak the filter in a filter-cleaning solution overnight to remove any small pieces of leaves or other dirt or debris caught in it. Rinse the filter thoroughly with a garden hose before replacing it.
