So you just got out of a break up, and it may have been a mutual break up or not.
Either way you want to forget about them, but you can't seem to stop thinking about them.
Everything reminds you of him/her, so what do you do? Here are a few tips that can help you forget about your ex and allow you to move on with your life: 1) Don't listen to love songs *Whenever you listen to a love song you tend to associate the songs with your ex.
Try listening to more upbeat/dance/happy type songs.
2) Don't look at their MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, Xanga, or YouTube account *I know that this is the hardest habit to quit, but you've got to get rid of this habit or else your just asking for all of your memories with your ex to come back.
3) Give all of your stuff that your ex gave you back to them or throw it away or put it in a place where you know you'll never look *If you get rid of all their stuff you won't have to worry about running into that teddy bear or that special card that your ex gave you.
Remember, it will only bring memories back.
So get rid of EVERYTHING! 4) Refrain from doing things or going to places that was special to you and your ex *If you guys always went to a certain park, or certain movie theater stop yourself from going there.
Find new places that you've never been to and experience new places! 5) Keep yourself busy! *When you start to have a busy schedule then your mind is full of thoughts that don't involve your ex.
When you have nothing to do but just sit in your bed and watch television then your bound to start thinking about your ex.
6) Last but not least, hang out with your FRIENDS! *When you were with your ex you probably spent a whole lot of time with him/her and not as much time with your friends.
But now is the time to catch up with them, laugh with them, be silly with them, experience new places with them, and keep busy with them! Your friends have been waiting for you to hang out with them, so have a blast! They must miss you!
