- 1). Set the bowl-shaped lower section of the AeroGarden on top of the base, so it sits under the hood. Lift the top door on the bowl, and pour water into it until the water reaches the line on the inside of the bowl. You will add either 3.5 quarts or 3.2 liters of water, depending on the size of the AeroGarden.
- 2). Insert one or two nutrient pellets into the water, and close the lid.
- 3). Insert an AeroGarden pod, which looks like a basket with a sponge in it, into each of the holes on top of the bowl. Insert one Tropical Ruby tomato seed into each pod.
- 4). Turn a seed dome upside down, and push it down on top of each hole as far as it will go. Seed domes resemble small, clear plastic cups.
- 5). Place the AeroGarden near a window on a sturdy location that maintains a temperature of between 60 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 6). Plug the electrical cord into an outlet, and press the "Select" button until the green light is illuminated next to the "Vegetable" setting.
