- 1). Cut 6 squares, with 2- or 3-inch sides, out of the tissue paper. Use all one color or various shades of the same color.
- 2). Layer six squares with the edges even. Fold all the layers together in half; crease lightly.
- 3). Make slits about 1/4 inch apart in each short end of the folded papers.
- 4). Fold a 10-inch piece of floral wire in half and place it over the center of the folded tissue papers. Twist the wire tightly around the tissue paper to secure, then continue twisting the wire together down to the end.
- 5). Open out each layer of tissue paper, one at a time. Fan out each layer to form petals and fluff them up once they are all opened out.
- 6). Cover the wire with floral tape, starting at the top underneath the flower and wrapping to the end, then back up to the top. Tear off excess tape and secure the loose end.
