We often elude discovering what exactly a purpose driven life-a life of purpose is! We often ask "Why am I here for"? Who am I"? and "Where do I come from"? All these instant queries come naturally in our mind. We often try to find their answers but how many of us could do that practically? No doubt, a very few of us! We have an inclination toward the query "What we want"? We yearn for money, power, authority, and fame but yet crave for satisfaction and fulfillment in life.
Keeping the end in mind
We should live a life keeping the end in mind. Simply hoping for the best wouldn't yield any favorable results. It is our own efforts and envisions that will drive us to a peaceful and fulfilling end. We should craft our own legacy, design our own future. Of course, we have no control over the notions and perceptions others people have of us. But making the best utilization of our resources and brain is within our reach and it can do miracles.
Meditation the first step
Meditation is one of the recommended means to gain insight and answer the "Who am I" question. It's a wonderful way to self estimation. Yet most of us find it very difficult to follow the path of meditation. Bombarded with outside commotion, we find it very difficult to spend time to being alone with ourselves. Meditation's first condition is finding a place where thoughts are speechless and the mind is quiet and focused. This is hard to do for many people. But we need to learn meditation and it is not that tough
Retrospection the next step
Learning to keep the mind quiet is the best path for self awareness and understanding and also the first step towards meditation. In other words self retrospection is the most important tool to find solace and attain a peaceful state of mind and soul. The other way of finding ourselves is by looking around us where we are able to see the end results of our inner thought. Our vicinity is our own creation consciously or subconsciously. It mirrors who we are now being, not who we wish to be. It reflects who we are now not who we could be.
What does it tell about us? If our surroundings do not support us the way we want them to be, don't get disappointed or stressed. We must accept them and acknowledge that the life we are manifesting is not the life of our dreams and then move on to generate thoughts how to create what we really want to be.
All these exercises will drive us to find a purpose driven life- life full of value, satisfaction and attainment. Once we find our purpose of life nothing else is left to attain except following the predefined path and modus operandi set for ourselves.
I sincerely wish you all the best you deserve. May the Almighty help you find the inspiration from the heart to live a purpose driven life!
