- 1). Set up your webcam. If the device is already installed, simply plug it in.
- 2). Install any necessary drivers if you are using the webcam for the first time. The drivers will be on a CD supplied in the original packaging. If you no longer have the CD, you can download the drivers from the manufacturer's website. The brand of the webcam will determine which method of installation is appropriate. With some products, the driver will download and install automatically. To install the drivers from the CD, insert the disc into your computer and follow the on-screen prompts.
- 3). Open the webcam on your computer. The software included with the device will enable you to view the images your camera sees without being connected to the Internet. You can record video or take still photos.
- 4). Browse your webcam's software to identify the function to take still photos. The procedure will vary depending on the camera brand and model. Check your user manual if you are unable to figure this out on your own. Once you identify the function, click on it to begin taking still photos. The pictures will save to a specific location or you may be prompted to enter a filename and location.
- 5). Open the folder where your pictures have been saved. You will be able to preview each picture and decide which pictures you want to print.
- 6). Choose a picture. Right-click on the image, scroll down until you see "Print" and then click on it.
- 7). Select options such as image quality, paper size and pictures per page to configure the printout. Click "Print" and check the printer for your picture.
