If you've been recently dumped, one of the worst things that can happen is to see your ex with another partner - there's a cold finality about the entire situation that is truly depressing.
Now that they're with somebody else, your chances of getting back together have diminished considerably.
However, there is a right way and a wrong way to handle things.
Do it the right way, and you still have a chance at getting back with your soul-mate - do it the wrong way, and you can forget about any chance of reconciliation - ever.

One of the first things you need to do when you get word that your ex is seeing someone else is to make absolutely sure that you are nowhere to be seen.
For one thing, you don't want to tempt fate and risk an altercation; secondly, you don't want to give your ex the satisfaction of parading their new partner in front of you.

Next, you want to continue in your day-to-day life and pay no attention to anything your ex does.
Completely ignore them, but do be considerate if you have the misfortune of running into them.
Start doing things for yourself - concentrate on your own life.
Take a class, start a new hobby, make it a point to meet new people.
Expand your horizons.

Keep in mind that you can't avoid your ex forever.
Eventually, you're going to run into the couple at some point.
When you do, be polite and don't make it obvious that the situation is killing you.
If you fail to do this, you're giving more power to your ex and you're going on the defensive once more.
While you obviously won't treat them like long lost friends, a little cordial conversation will show them that you are confident, mature, and self-reliant enough to handle such a difficult situation.

You must be willing to accept the fact that your ex has moved on and your options are now limited.
With that being said, there is always a chance that you'll get back together at some point in the future.
But, start acting petty, jealous, and insecure now, and you'll ensure that the break-up will be permanent.
