Here's your weight loss armor: Avoid the area totally if possible. Don't go there. Many office workers sit all day. Those treats are going to head south to your butt faster than Santa's sleigh. If you feel deprived, allow yourself one treat every other day. One - and eat it slowly and savor, while you are walking away from the treat depot.

Include high protein and high fiber foods in your diet everyday as they keep the stomach full for a longer duration and thus, you wont feel hungry for quiet some time after eating them.

Move about by taking long fast walks, walk the dog, go for a swim if you have access to a pool, run up and down stairs (don't take the elevator) and do it daily and make sure it makes you breath harder than normal and sweat!

Eat a breakfast that consists of a bowl of cereal or oats with skimmed milk, slice of whole grain or brown bread with low fat butter or cheese. A boiled egg once in a while is allowed. Fresh fruit juices like orange juice, grapefruit juice and tomato juice or tea or coffee without sugar can be included.
