The electronic giant Samsung has announced its plans to introduce a successor to its Tocco Lite smartphone- the Tocco Lite 2 in the UK mobile market.

The company said that the mobile phone is designed in such a way that it will offer a subset of functionality commonly found in all the smartphones. It also stated that the Tocco Lite 2 won’t run on Google's Android operating system. However, Samsung has opted for its proprietary bada OS for its new model and this indicates that this phone won’t be available with the common applications used in other Samsung handsets like the range-topping Galaxy S II.

Consumers will be able to avail an impressive raft of in-built software that will help them to offer all the common social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, MSN, Yahoo and Google Talk. The handset has also been embellished with Samsung’s ChatOn instant messaging service added with a copy of Opera Mini for web browsing and a music player.

Samsung has laden the handset with some of the excellent features and applications including a 3.2 megapixel camera on its rear. The camera fitted with various modern camera features it allows users to capture bright and blur free images within a high definition. It boosts an internal storage memory of 20MB that can be further extended up to 16GB with the help of the microSD card slot featured in the phone. It carries a 3 inch screen that has a 320x240 QVGA resolution. The handset also includes 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 support.

The handset rightly justifies its name Tocco Lite 2 since it light and compact featuring a dimension of 50mm x 102mm x 11.5mm and with a weight of just 95g.
