- 1). Fold the very edge of one of the longer ends of the first sheet of paper inward only a couple millimeters. Roll this folded edge of the sheet of paper tightly inward until the entire paper has been rolled up into a tight, thin cylinder with open ends.
- 2). Tape the loose end of the tightly, rolled sheet of paper to the rest of the cylinder using clear tape. This is the main portion of the paper throwing needle.
- 3). Take a second sheet of paper and cut it in half lengthwise. Take one of the halves and cut this half in half. Fold the upper left corner of the vertical sheet of paper a couple millimeters inward creating a slight fold that tapers off about halfway across at the edge. Roll this paper tightly inward starting from the folded corner until the paper forms what looks like a torch with a sharp, pointed end and a wider open end (but not too wide). Cut the wider, open end so that it is only slightly wider than the main part of the throwing needle you made previously. Tape this tip of the throwing needle with clear tape so that does not come undone.
- 4). Repeat the same process for making the second tip of the paper throwing needle.
- 5). Attach the tips of the paper throwing needle by fitting them onto the ends of the main portion of the throwing needle, then taping them to it so that they stay on securely.
