- 1). Arrange the beads on your bead mat, start at the top right of the bead groove or bed with the 4-millimeter round beads. At the bottom of the groove of the mat, lay out the 13 mini-collar fan stick beads in ascending and then descending order, with the shortest beads at the left and right end and the longest in the middle. Place an accent bead between each bead stick. Line the left groove of the bead mat with the round 4-millimeter beads. Place a crimp bead at the top left and right groove.
- 2). Cut a piece of beading wire that is 42-inches long with the wire cutters. Slide on the beads in the order that you set them out on the beading mat.
- 3). Slide the right ring of the S clasp onto the right end of the necklace. Move the right wire end back through the crimp bead and the beads near it. Set the crimping pliers jaws onto the crimp bead and apply firm even pressure to crimp the bead shut. Repeat the process for the left ring of the S clasp and the left end of the necklace.
