How to Copy to a Flash Media Card

    • 1). Install a flash card reader, if one isn't already available. You can purchase the reader from a computer store, electronics store, discount store or online. The flash reader is easy to install, just plug it into an available USB port and insert the installation disc in a CD-ROM. Follow the steps in the installation wizard to install the drivers for the device.

    • 2). Insert a flash media card into the media card reader.

    • 3). Locate the files that you want to copy to the media card. Hold the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard while clicking on the files to select them all. Right-click on one of the selected files and click on "Copy."

    • 4). Open the folder for your flash media card. Double-click on "Start > Computer" or "My Computer" from the desktop. Double-click on the drive that has your flash media card.

    • 5). Copy the files to the flash media card folder. Right-click anywhere in the folder window and click on "Paste." Wait for all the files to copy to the flash media card.
